a. Information you provide directly

Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
Profile information: profile photo, role (host or renter), and any optional details you add.
Vehicle listings: vehicle details, photos, pricing, and rental terms submitted by Hosts.
Identity verification (KYC): government-issued photo ID and selfie submitted by Renters during the verification process.
Booking and rental information: dates, rental agreement contents, and payment records logged by Hosts.
Messages and communications: messages sent through the Platform between Hosts and Renters.
Support communications: any correspondence you send to us.

b. Information collected automatically

Usage data: pages visited, features used, search queries, and other interactions with the Platform.
Device information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
Cookies and similar technologies: session tokens, authentication cookies, and preference data. See Section 7 for details.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
To facilitate bookings, rental agreements, and communications between Hosts and Renters.
To conduct identity verification (KYC) for Renters.
To generate and display rental documents on the Platform.

To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.

Between Hosts and Renters: When a booking is made, relevant profile information (name, contact details) may be shared between the Host and Renter to facilitate the rental.
Service providers: We use third-party service providers for database and authentication, email delivery, and payment onboarding. These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services and are contractually required to protect it.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ridafleet, our users, or the public.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Identity Verification Documents

Government-issued IDs and selfies submitted during KYC are used solely for identity verification purposes. These documents are reviewed by authorized Ridafleet staff and are stored securely. We do not share KYC documents with other users or third parties, except as required by law. KYC documents may be retained for a period necessary to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@ridafleet.com. Note that some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention records).

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze Platform usage. Essential cookies are required for the Platform to function.
